Dr. Luo Ping is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong. He received his Ph.D. in Information Engineering in 2014 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), under the supervision of Professors Tang Xiaoou and Wang Xiaogang. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in top conferences and journals such as TPAMI, IJCV, ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, and CVPR, with more than 40,000 citations on Google Scholar. He has won numerous awards and competitions, including the 2014 ImageNet ILSVRC Runner-up, the 2017 YouTube-8M Video Classification Challenge Gold Award, the 2011 HK PhD Fellow Award, the 2013 Microsoft Research Fellow Award - Top 10 PhD in Asia, the 2022-23 AI2000 Most Influential Scholar, the 2022 ACL Outstanding Paper, and 2023 World AI Conference Outstanding Papers. He was also named one of the young innovators under 35 (MIT TR 35) in the Asia-Pacific region by the MIT Technology Review.
