Drainage Services Department Research & Development Forum 2023
In support of our vision to provide world-class wastewater and stormwater drainage services, the Drainage Services Department (DSD) is committed to promoting R&D works and encouraging collaboration with stakeholders in the industry. As the highlight of each year, we have been holding the DSD R&D Forum since 2006.
DSD R&D Forum 2023 will be held on 14 November 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As in the past, DSD continues to explore and deepen innovative solutions for promoting water friendly culture, combating climate change, and to adopt more smart and sustainable technologies in our facilities to achieve the goal of zero carbon emissions. With this year's theme " Thinking Outside the Pipes: Exploring Alternative Approaches to Stormwater and Wastewater Management ", the Department is honoured to invite 11 professors and experts to share the latest technologies and researches on stormwater and sewerage. To foster collaboration amongst the Government, academia, and partners in the industry on research and development that supports innovation in delivering sustainable drainage and sewerage services in Hong Kong.
